Host the party. We will handle the food.
Birthdays, baby showers, graduations, backyard gatherings, the cousins’ reunion: tamales by the dozen, delivered hot, that people eat standing up, sitting down, and again an hour later. No host stuck in the kitchen.

Any excuse for a gathering
Birthdays
From a kids’ party (chicken in green salsa, mild) to a fortieth with a crowd. See birthday and shower catering.
Baby & bridal showers
Trays that look good on a table and hold heat through a long afternoon of games and gifts.
Graduations
Backyard crowds that arrive in waves. Tamales keep. Read the graduation plan.
Family gatherings
Reunions, Sunday lunches, the game, a welcome-home. A few dozen and the salsas, and the table is set.
Hot when they arrive, still good two hours later.
A party never eats on schedule. Guests arrive late, the cake comes out early, someone is still in the pool. Tamales forgive all of that: in the husk they hold their heat and moisture far longer than anything on a tray, and there is nothing to assemble. A guest picks one up, unwraps it, adds salsa, and is done.
Mixed pork and chicken covers almost every taste in the room. The chicken in green salsa is mild enough for kids and the cautious; the pork has a gentle kick. Every tamal is gluten-free by recipe, which quietly solves a problem for at least one guest at most parties.
- Two per person for a meal, one to two alongside other food. Use the calculator.
- Salsas, crema, utensils for a self-serve table on request.
- Leftovers freeze. See how to store them.

How many tamales for the party?
A planning number, not a quote. Mixed pork and chicken, delivery and any extras are confirmed by Maggie in writing.

Party planning questions
How much notice do you need for a party?
A few days is usually enough for a weekend party of a few dozen. Bigger parties and anything in the weeks around Thanksgiving and Christmas should be booked earlier. Send the request and we confirm availability right away.
Can you deliver to a park, a clubhouse or a backyard?
Yes. Give us the address and any access details (gate codes, pavilion number, parking) in the request and we plan the drop-off. Tamales travel well and hold heat, so a picnic table works as well as a kitchen.
What if my headcount changes?
Text us. Dozens are easy to adjust up or down before the cooking starts, and the quote moves with the numbers.
Do you bring plates and napkins?
We bring salsas, crema, utensils and serving spoons on request. Plates and napkins are usually yours, but ask in the request and we will tell you what we can add.
Are the tamales kid-friendly?
The chicken in green salsa is mild and a favorite with kids. The pork in red salsa has a gentle kick that most adults call “just right”. Order a mix and everyone finds their tamal.
Can I order a small amount for a party?
Yes. A dozen or two can go through DoorDash for same-day delivery, or through the quote form if you want a specific delivery window. See how to order.
Party coming up?
Date, headcount, address. Maggie replies with the dozens and the price, usually the same day.
